I think a big factor is, at least for me, that RS3 felt like practically every other MMO and not so much like Runescape whereas OSRS is more of a "core" of what Runescape was. I guess you could just call it nostalgia, though.

seems that way, rs3 seems along the lines of every other mmo atm, used to play rs back when it first came out, i do get osrs has nostalgia, but rs3 is kinda nice change

i hateeee eoc as well as most of us.

also people probably see all the osrs posts and just skip making rs3 ones cause they're not gonna get as much attention. rs3 player here.
