Don't just focus on one thing, if you want specifically combat though do it through slayer leveling. Slayer at higher levels is good money since some of the monsters are slayer level locked

Woodcutting just really isn't at any point in the game a good money making method, it yields low profits but has the benefit of being low intensity.
Pvm is player versus monsters, so when they say pvm it means kill high tier monsters whether that be raid bosses or slayer creatures (locked behind slayer levels) which would be requiring attack, strength and defence or ranged/magic and their corresponding amour and weapons.

So slayer or combats

Will generally speaking result in more profits yes.

Dont worry about money making and actually enjoy the game first.

Spend a bit of mom's credit card and get member.

Later in game you make ez pz money

if you dont really play game you can flip gold but you really make more @ McD than flipping gold here
