Did you go with runelite or the official client?

eh didn't wanna use runelite, too many features.... I went with a version very similar to official, also it didn't require wine.

Linux is excellent, once you get the hang of it, it's fairly easy..... Only reason i use Windows is for gaming, or other apps that only run on windows...
Linux is way better otherwise :)

Have you tried any other distro besides ubuntu?

Arch / i3wm is what I currently use, the arch user repo is amazing.

I definitely plan on trying Arch someday, but probably not for a year or two

Its not too bad once you get into it, the arch wiki is one of the best out there. Also can use weechat and join the archlinux IRC channel for any help needed. :D

The arch wiki actually walks you through step by step, it's a lot to take in all at once since you start with basically nothing and just go from there however you wish. Once you get going as long as you check the update news to see if any packages have issues you would be fine.
