idk if you'll get anything for 500.

i think 1k should be a realistic budget.
if the desktop you buy is good, it should last you for many years but if you buy a bad one, you'll have to replace it in a short period of time, costing you more to buy another

although, if 500 is actually your budget and can't go higher, buying it in-person from a store is a definite no, because you'll get charged more for the computer
you have to essentially buy it online (ex. amazon) or second hand (kijiji)

This with a better video card would be good for budget

Honestly the people in this thread that say you need to spend 500 CAD to play Runescape and watch a video at the same time don't know anything about computers. If I were you, I'd look for a used workstation like an HP EliteDesk.

[I linked to Ebay but just search for Elitedesks (800 g1 or 800 g2) on any website which you would buy a used computer] They are about 200 USD and can play OSRS and watch a video just fine.

Most of these work-station computers don't come with a graphics card but adding one isn't hard. I don't think you really would need one.

Get a thinkpad. I've had one for years and it's been reliable for multiple clients.

Look guys I play a hcim, I need a comp that isn’t gonna crash at arma can run a bunch of accounts and movies without lagging

Could always check your local stores for hidden clearances. I ended up finding and buying a HP Omen 15 laptop for $350 which was originally priced at $1200 and so far it's played anything I've attempted to run on it.

I don’t really know what to look for though, not sure if I wanna go with another laptop either

You want a decent CPU. GPU won't limit osrs
