If don't sell items then you're not losing

i dont sell my items buuuuuut

when u grind ur ass off to buy a ton of 50m item and they become 20m and the rate at which u get the gp is the same or lower its a loss. ;/

im used to a few items going up n down everday, but its EVERY item now.

If everything is dropping it isnt a problem since your purchase power is basically the same
Unless you care about having a big cash stack which is the worst investment

nothing to do with cash stack.

what if you bought a house for 500k then the value of it dropped to 200k, but you still owe 400k on it? (just a complete hypothetical here)

how would u feel? do u not call that a loss?

The topic was called state of osrs so i assumed you were talking about the economy having a majority of items go down in cash value
Your scenario is called a bad investment

Yeah but when you buy an item off the ge you don’t owe anything on it you paid in full you own it. So if anything you’d call it a bad investment.

Well I mean if something worth 500k dropped to 200k that means either the item severely depreciated in value or your money went up in buying power :bonk:

I think your missing the point of 1gp is literally worth 1gp it never fluctuates where as the price of gear and items fluctuate by the hour. So yes having just a cash stack is honestly better then holding onto items of which you never know what the price will be when you go to sell it. Also when items become more abundant in runescape they tend to decline in price until an update or something makes the demand of the item go up.
