It seems VERY unlikely, but not impossible.
Still I believe unless you're and Iron man, the drop should show up after a minute.

Someone probably did a trip, tried to push 1 last kill, and tele’d out cuz they ran out of food or something and they had bad rng. I’ve done it. Can’t get the kill so tele out. Usually I go back and finish it. But maybe he didn’t. This wouldn’t matter if you weren’t an iron though..
