Is it just me or is it heavily noticeable that 3-4 people are working together to immediately BIN gold when someone is selling it for 1:85 and they all have huge posts selling nearly an infinite amount of OSRSGP for 1:90. It feels like they are hoarding the available OSRSGP on D2JSP and then flipping it - like certain clans do with certain items on the G/E. At the same time all 3/4 of these users have like 100-400k FG and have no use for this RSJP.
Is it just me or should this be illegal on the forums to whale coins - spiking the JSP value and then selling it for the price they determine?
Sounds like real life. The super rich own most of the market and can control and thrive off of opportunities where there's a chance to make some money. They also have more error for risk. If you are willing to take a risk and buy gold at a certain rate, it could go up or down. I've been trying to sell at 1:90 for a few weeks now, granted people were selling for less prior, however trends show the price to go up, so you could grab now at 1:90 and make a profit when it goes up to 1:100, if it does.
Also, people do have a use for the rsgp or fg. It holds a monetary value. You can sell rsgp for real life money and you can use jsp in the real life trading section, or spend it on other electronic goods and resell for real money. The way people get these coins isn't illegal, so why should it be illegal to have lots of them? If you got a twisted bow in a raid drop and sold it for 100k fg, is it now illegal you have that gold? If you played diablo and ran a successful ladder reset, making a lot off of items and runes etc, would that be illegal? No. It's business.

Competitors that aren't working together but vouch each others posts and have very similar activities? That would be like 5 shoe companies agreeing to eliminate competition and set their prices to whatever they want because they are the only stake holders and people need shoes. Also, if that was true which I would think you would have to be blind to think its not - it violates JSP rules.
Come look at the Canadian telecom industry. 4 competitors all grouping together to raw dog us in prices and what they offer in each price range. I pay 50 bucks for 300MB, you read that right, 300MB of data and unlimited text/calling in North America. You won't really find much cheaper anywhere because the telecom industries created a monopoly. It's the real world. You want change? Be the change you want and offer your own market. You'll soon see you can squeeze people for a bit more, and I GUARANTEE you will.

Well it always use to sit at like 50-70 for the longest time - then there was no supply and it shot up to 90 in no time.
And this is exactly how supply and demand works. If there is a lmit on supply, people are willing to pay more to get it, not less. If you and I both want the same limited edition Ferrari, and there is only one in the planet, I'll offer more than you to get it, assuming I can afford to, thus how money makes money. Yeah it sucks for those who are priced out of it and can't afford it, but we all weren't born with a silver spoon, unless your family is wealthy (which in video games doesn't really matter)
