OSRS, a lot of us play for the nostalgia factor.
If it’s not nostalgic for you, you may enjoy rs3 much more.

I didn't like rs3 at first, logged on and played for a bit never really got into it... until last month I randomly logged into my old main and had the urge to try out the new EOC stuff. It's a little different at first but when you get used to it it's actually pretty fun! Learn ING helwyr currently.

As for what to do in the game aim for priff, curse prayers, Godwars dungeon 1, and invention. Also complete daily tasks you get & check out the mini games list as they offer a ton of xp. Wilderness warbands, guthix cache, troll invasion, etc...

But mainly you just want to aim for the following..

Invention (need a few 80+ skills to unlock)
God wars dungeon 1 (you can get t70 armor / weapons)
Curses (pretty much a must have for bossing)
Herblore (later in the game you will need the overloads)
Complete Guthix caches 2x / day (provides divination XP)
Complete daily challenges (free key & a nice chunk of XP)
Dungeoneering (chaotic weapons are nice when you start bossing, also the lucky imp picks up charms while you train slayer)
Quests (faster to do quests than grind at lower levels for xp, plus a bunch of the end game content is locked behind quests)

lmaooooo who the f*** plays osrs for nostalgia reasons at this point, games not even remotely what it use to be not to mention all those nostalgicunts quit after month 1

yeah aside from the graphics osrs isnt how runescape was back in the day lol.
Iv been teetering towards going back to rs3 for a bit. but I just dont wanna give up on my HCIM
