it all depends on what you do, if you're a scared little piece of shit who only fights a 1 attack type of unit pros is sure better if you wanna pray all the way

if you go boss or high level slayer (you know shit that actually counts) bandos is alot better, cuz who the fuck needs to pray on slayer? except for spirit mage tasks

and if you solo bandos or any other gwd boss with just pros you must have 1 of the best luck ever since you will get raped by ranged if you pray melee, you will get raped by melee if you pray ranged, and lets not forget the mages.

Slayer/ safe pvp ( i know bandos might be better for that ) / monsters farming ( not boss ) / most likely anything.

why the fuck use pray on slayers to heal yourself when you can either have a bunyip/unicorn heal you.

the point of the whole + str for slayer is not to last the longest, it's to finish it as soon as possible.

Slayer- Every task I can think of can be finished in one trip w/ bandos rap ddef ovl's yak etc.
That means that the speed you kill them is more important than how long you last

PVP-Prayer drain is useless, assuming your S/S'ing, then they'll be draining more pray than you save if you switch to proselyte

Monster farming-I can't think of any monster where prosylete would really be recommended, might be wrong, but bandos I think is > in every situation.

Most likely anything, however you clearly state things that it can't be such as bossing.

Go to Bandos, one of the most simple bosses. Wear Proselyte, and tell me how many kills you can last.

I can still pray protection prayers while wearing Bandos, but I can't get a higher strength bonus while wearing Proselyte.


Some slayer tasks, yes it is better, but others, I still choose Bandos over Proselyte. I'd rather kill my monsters faster, then be able to last longer.

Saving the time in slayer > the 10k/trip in prayer potions,

Safe pvp the higher damage is better than the prayer bonus,

Monster farming the time spent banking is such a smaller portion that the extra damage dealt, including the many times you're 1 hp from killing the monster, will be saved.

if new prayer gear that coming out this month upgrade to prostyle just think how good that armor be for slayer
