Requirements
68 Woodcutting
Rune Hatchet, Dragon Hatchet, or Inferno Adze
(for best exp use Dragon Hatchet or Inferno Adze)
There are MANY places you can chop ivy.
North wall of Varrock Palace, near the Yew trees. (4 Ivy spots)
South-east outer wall of Varrock Palace, next to tree Farming patch. (5 Ivy spots)
North side of the north wall of Falador, a little west from Standing stones location. (7 Ivy spots)
South side of the south wall of Falador, a little north of the allotment patch. (7 Ivy spots)
South-east of Taverley, near the Hot air balloon. (5 Ivy spots)
East wall of East Ardougne church, just west of Handelmort's Mansion. (5 Ivy spots)
North side of the north wall of Yanille, south-east of Yanille Dungeon. (6 Ivy spots)
South wall of Castle Wars, south of the Saradomin base. (7 Ivy spots)
Bolded are my favorite spots.
Redded are hot spots in PvP worlds.
Now to actually chop the ivy.
1. You click on it.
2. You wait.
3. You get 332.5 Exp per success.
4. The ivy dies randomly. (every 3 minutes usually)
5. You move to a new ivy.
Generally it's about 60k exp an hour (at low levels) and gradually becomes more, 125k exp an hour, at higher levels.
You CAN use woodcutting brawlers to increase your exp a ton.
The best time/place to use them is late at night on a week night,
and at East Ardounge Church. This is at a hot spot so every
30 minutes you will get +25% EP while you chop.
You will get 498.75 exp per success with brawlers.Very nice
