these "progress threads" are kinda cringe imo. Maybe they should get their own subforum. Seems like a lot of narcissism and pride. I don't think people realize just how much all their "progress" doesn't matter. Get a job, make money, get a mortgage, in the end after many years of "work" you can show a house. What about runescape? You think anyone cares about my old rs3 account? Nope. I like the video on youtube that "yogosun" made, but these should be like 5 minute videos that you see once every few years or such, not daily threads. Getting your own progress and achievement feels nice, but looking for validation from strangers on the internet is cringe and a waste of time.
And I think you should focus a lot less on "oh I suck at the game, I Don't know" it doesn't matter, it's a game. When you're at a job interview, then "I don't know" does matter. On a video game, "I don't know" doesn't matter. It only matters if YOU have fun, not if some toxic elitist sweatbag says "ughhhh kick this guy out of the team, he suuuuucks!". Unless you're a big time elitist streamer like odablock, who makes real life money from elite content (or sucking at it) then it doesn't matter if you suck at the game. In fact, he often makes money showing people how much he sucks at the game. Meanwhile port khzard is x100 better than him and 99% of people don't care, and don't give him money. I think money is far more important than being good or bad at a game. Money pays your bills.
You're a silly goose!
I dont do it for validation.
I do it to chonologize and be able to look back and see how far I've come.
And personally now, I can see how much happier I used to be and how much more life i seemed to have enjoying stuff vs nowadays where I'm severely depressed over some newer irl traumas.
It's nice to be able to look back and reflect once in a while.
