It was -500xp max so like you can correct 2def but not much else
There are several reddit post discussing it but I can't find the original post by jagex

Negative XP lamps will NOT be introduced into the game. Confirmed the last 2 Jagex streams now. Due to runelite having the plug in that hides def atk etc Jagex announced no need to compensate players for being dumber than shit.
