this but more on the sense that people should be able to have their own opinions
that is the entire point of the USA lol...
last I checked he lived in the US. world has gotten so soft and full of karens that you literally are almost enslaved/forced to have the same opinion as everyone else or you are scrutinized for not having said opinion.
Again, I could give a shit less if someone is trans/gay etcetc. doesnt impact my life in the slightest so why would I care.
But the idea that someone cant speak their mind without being canceled or having their careers completely ruined is crazy to me.
Look at Mrbeast as an example. dude does so much good for the world, yes he makes a profit off the videos. there has to be or he couldnt do what he does... but one of his main guys randomly decides to split with his wife and take hormones to transition, and you can see it makes his entire crew uncomfortable. but they cant do anything, if they do... he will be canceled and his entire career is ruined.
TLDR: People need to stop being so sensitive and let people have their own damn uncensored opinions.
He does have his own uncensored opinion, which he's stated. Him having the ability to voice that is proof that he's free and able. Go live in a place like North Korea where you CAN'T voice your own opinion and you'll see what it's truly like. However, none of this protects him from people's opinions on that and choosing whether they want to associate with him.
Even so, JaGeX is a private company and ban your account at any time for any reason they want as per their ToS.
For your MrBeast example; you have no idea whether they are uncomfortable or not. Rather than listening to what MrBeast is saying, which in-fact he's saying that he's ok with it and in full support because they're FRIENDS, you're choosing to create your own narrative based on some Youtuber's video who normally makes videos like this for profit.
You saying he can't do anything is absolutely incorrect; MrBeast can really do whatever he wants and will ultimately be fine in life. Nobody stays on the upward climb on YouTube forever and his time will come.
People complain about the world getting soft. I agree that we are getting softer in a sense that we're more expressive about our emotions.
However, I would like to point out that previously, people were so "soft" that they couldn't tolerate having a black person sitting, eating, or learning with them.
Go back even further and people were executed for disagreeing with a king or religious leader.
Best way I'll put it is that I agree that we shouldn't enforce restrictive speech codes (which we don't have). I also agree that people should be held accountable for their speech or actions.
