I got a main that did this quest and a 2nd account, 80 attack 73 str 70 def 72 pray 70 range 90 mage 77 hp (so brews will do little). I'm thinking of using my dragonhunter crossbow instead of trying to use blood magiks... or trident of swamp/sea What do you think the easier option would be? I'm gonna get 75 def for some ancient wyvern shield or dragonfire ward.

From what I remember melee is not an option for the final boss. I'm not worried about ada/rune dragons since they have a checkpoint after you kill them.

Also, in general against dragons, is dragonhunter lance better than dragonhunter crossbow? I never tested the lance.

Depends on your ranged level, I'd say if it's similar to the 90 mage DHCB will be more consistent and with (e) bolt procs can really get in some dmg.

DHCB is more consistent dps than a lance probably but which is better probably comes down to stats/gear differences.

Just range him. It's not a hard fight especially if using brews. Can be done with rune crossbow and dhide. Don't use magic. Ruby bolt (e) till either third or final phase then diamond bolt (e)

This! DHCB vs mage is a no brainer unless you're using Shadow

yeah it wasn't hard, used 1/3 of supplies, just that i died 2 times in first phase despite clearly being far from the bombs, they killed me before they even landed. Just runescape things.

btw what do people think is harder to get, fire cape or myth cape and why I can't say the final boss fight is harder than jad. And with jad you have to sit 1-2 hours through the tedious waves But the overly long quest list and unreasonable mining/agility requirements really gate myth cape. That was a painful (lamp) grind

Jad is worse because you can't really practice him until you've already got a cape.

You can keep dying to galvek over and over and over until you don't whereas Jad is about an hour just to get 1 shot and reset you completely.

I felt this frustration my first ever attempt, took me 3-4 tries and I legit yelled out with my wife sitting next to me and I specifically remember her laughing at me, calling me a nerd, and then saying ew why are your hands so sweaty! Still wifed her after but she hates Runescape to her core!
