Back in about 2005, I made a friend named Cody. This individual introduced me to the game of RuneScape. We played religiously throughout High School and a few years past. At the Evolution of Combat, I decided I was done with RuneScape. Didn't like what it was turning into, it wasn't for me.
Me and this friend inevitably parted ways a few years after, we started growing older, started families etc.
Forward to about 2018, wife and I are eating lunch with the kids and I'm scrolling through the app store looking for a new game to try out. I see the beta for OSRS. I screamed. My wife: "What?! What's wrong?!"
I explained my history of this game to her. About the journey it had taken me on, the friends I had made along the way (Many that I still have to this very day).
My jaw dropped. This was something we only ever dreamed of as kids. Being able to play RuneScape wherever we wanted! We used to try and hack PSPs back in the day to play it!
This was a game changer.
I immediately installed and waited for the official release. Made my new character, and I was on my happy way.
...or was I?
I wasn't sure if anyone I used to play with still played or cared.
I added all of their old IGNs in hopes that some of them would hop on.
Year passes, nothing.
Year and two months pass, I see a name pop up.
It was my childhood friend that introduced me to RuneScape back in the day! We hadn't spoken in YEARS!
Thus, I started to play a little more heavily. Started getting some shit done on the account. I mainly ever used to dawdle on the account. But now, I'm ready
I achieved my first 99 in RuneScape ever this year.
And this will be the progress tracker of all of my 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 99s, Clue Scrolls, Unique Drops, etc.
