I know I am a few years late to the party but I recently installed OSRS for the first time ever last week.

With the strong suggestion from my guild I set up the member option and I am learning what to focus on and do in this game.

After reading a lot of OSRS Wiki and talking to people, I am starting to get the hang of it.

As I develop my skills and quests I will share them here for those that enjoy following.

As of today this is where I am at.



This is my current gear. The amulet I got from completing content and it is a strength amulet. The gloves, boots and gold ring are all just random that I found/got. The rest of the gear is mithril.



My ultimate goal for this thread will be to get all of the skills to 99 and have some knowledge about what I am doing lol.

Thank you! I am working on quests, I have done a bunch of the low level ones, I noticed that a bunch of the quests now have had higher requirements than what I have.


I progressed more on some of the fighting skills. Strength from 20 to 30. Defense from 20 to 25. HP from 24 to 28.

Word of advice

I'm sure many of your friend's who convinced you to start playing will try to give you handouts to get you started, you can take it if you want but I'm just saying if I were you I'd decline it.

You're at such a simple stage in your runescape adventure where even the most average boring drops are huge to you and the sense of achievement you feel when progressing on your own is much greater. In the late game you can easily average 5m+ gp p/h whereas in the early stages your first 1m might take you weeks (especially being new to the game). So where your friends can easily spare you 1m (less than 15mins of work), you'll find the game 100x more enjoyable if you earn it yourself
