So, I've started playing OSRS after a long time (played Runescape ~15 years ago when I was a kid), enjoying it a lot with a more or less casual playstyle.

What I have achieved:

Quest Cape
Fire Cape
Hard Diaries
BiS Vorkath gear excluding Pegasian boots, which is the main money maker.
74 Prayer + Rigour
House setup which allows quick restore + teleport to the lunar island for Vorkath farming purposes.

However, I had to sell practically the whole bank to afford dhcb & dragonfire ward and grind the construction up to a bare minimum lvl 72.

My options are:
either rebuild melee gear (Bandos + Torture + Ferocious gloves) in order to focus on melee skilling and slayer more
or level 84 construction for "max" house + Herblore lvl 93 to unlock divine super combats and use up the 1000+ crystal shards I gained from farming Zalcano, as well as giving a reason to continue farming for Smolcano.

Max house + Herblore 93 would both save time and GP in the long run as well as allowing me to switch money farming between Vorkath & Zalcano.
I can't grind the same thing for hours and hours straight so having another good method would definitely infuse the GP gain in long run.
But proper melee gear would also bring a decent alternative as well as better overall XP gains.

Long term goal would be achievement cape and eventually raiding as I enjoy the more challenging PvM.
Already doing daily farm runs, collect freebies from diaries, try to do as many birdhouse runs daily as I bother and manage miscellenia.

Just do whatever you prefer. If you don’t mind farming vorkath/zolcano for hours and hours then get max house/herblore levels first

If you’re getting bored of farming vorkath go for max melee gear so you can switch it up with some slayer

It really boils down to how you want to spend your hours playing, not what the “best choice” is. If you constantly play for the most optimal play style you’ll likely burn out faster than if you just do what you enjoy

I'd go for 83 construction and at least max pool unlocked, it's gonna make bossing/melee/slayer/vork etc so much nicer.

Thanks!
I think both Zalcano and Melee Slayer would give enough different kind of content which requires less focus than Vorkath does, and both offer good rewards to work towards the other one.
That's why it's so hard to pick one :D I feel like both of them are equally good goals for me personally.

Maxing my house with 84 con was one of the best decisions I've made in this game, it just feels so damn good.

If you actually enjoy Vorkath, technically melee is better for making money, don't spend money on bolts, might be something to work towards + most of the gear works for slayer as well.

I originally chose ranged due to the fact it's a lot faster to reach mid-late game bossing with a single skill contributing to both damage and accuracy.
But indeed, at some point when my melee skills also reach 90+ I will consider swapping over to melee Vorkath.
That's going to take a while though, my melee skills are in early 80's while ranged is at 91.
I'm starting to consider maxing house and then pushing for melee gear instead of 93 Herblore.

Really depends on your current combat stats and slayer level.. and gold you're willing to part with.

I prefer melee @ Slayer, especially if you're going to be a cheap ass and not cannon. Going tanky rather than prayer through slayer puts a lot better profit in your pocket, and will do funds faster. Also, consider doing boss alternatives while on task.

Dont worry about the herblore - focus on the house for slayer / bossing, while retaining gear to effectively slay / boss.

Little update on what I've done so far and what is currently planned.
Had to afk extensively during the weekend, so decided to push for torture + ferocious gloves + primordial boots & Dharok away in NMZ.

Next comes maxing the house and buying Bandos tassets + chest to finish melee rebuild. Not 100% sure yet which first.
Depends on whether I want to continue farming Vorkath when I can afford either one of those, or will I finish melee setup & earn the house via slayer/vorkath mix instead.

Either way I currently think the 93 herblore comes after those two.

Voted house/herby - I think the house alone does a lot to make all other tasks easier ^_^

Good luck!
