Should I use Preserve?


How does preserve work? Do I have to activate it before drinking the combat potion?

or if I just active after drinking the combat potion it would still extend the remaining time?

Non iron? You could also use devine potiones. These don't degrade. I never used preserve personally on vork.

Preserve must be active for at least 15 seconds in order to take effect. After this time, if a player's boosted stat would drain, the boost will be extended by another 30 seconds. Because boosted stats normally drain at 1 point per minute, this prayer allows boosted stats to last 50% longer.

Preserve only drains roughly 3 prayer per minute if I'm not mistaken. If you're ever boosted you should always be using preserve. I even use it while slaying.

Perserve is bae. My favorite use was boosting with summer pies to do ardy agility early.

any time you are boosting a stat you should be using preserve, the only exception to this is when using divine potions because they auto refresh for 5 minutes
just turn it on and leave it on lol

I dont melee vork but when I'm ranging I run out of prayer with a lot of food left. Just spitballing, but using preserve - 3pts a min, 7~ kills vork, ~2min a kill + loot, that's gonna be a couple doses of p pot per trip. At zulrah i would preserve, at vork idk probably not.

Ranging pots are dirt cheap so I'd rather just redose.. Things might be different using combat pot as that's 3 stats degrading maybe you get 3x the benefit of preserve. Too close to matter much either way

I think that’s without any prayer bonus though. When I use preserve even with A few prayer bonus it lasts for 45 minutes (~90 prayer) which is 2 points per minute. Imo it’s definitely one of the best prayers for bossing. As others said, exception is divine potions/overloads. If you’re boosting might as well use the preserve
