google results keep telling me to use the pot on a patch with no weeds
its not working
nothing happens at all

You still need to use "tree/fruit tree seeds" on the plant pot & water them before you even can plant them.

To fill a plant pot, with a gardening trowel in inventory use the empty plant pot on any farming patch that does not need weeding. The patch must be empty (no plants or weeds).

With filled plant pots are also available from farming shops for the same price as empty plant pots.

Does not need ever?
Or doesn't have weeds?
I tried it on plant patches that dont have weeds and it didnt work
I dont know of any plant patches that never require weeding
ill have to look it up

tried putting compost down on the spot and then doing it
still will not work

Or buy a filled plant pot from the shops in catherby or something
