There are now popular scams where people are being convinced to download runescape clients and download runelite plugins by scammers in game and the links provided allow the hacker your login information if not having the player end up downloading some bullshit which can get their pw a million and a half ways.



Stay safe out there.

Dont use jagex launcher until all the kinks are worked out.

Always 2fa.

you should actually change your pw annually.

Even if you take a break you should be logging in once every 2 weeks.

to clarify tho, the dangerous link is a runescape official link
1) dont open random links
2) open in incognito if you really want to open it
3) don't input your login information on a runescape page unless you navigated there yourself & are sure its the official site

The worst scam that happened to me was to download a plugin in osbuddy called : Raid Helper.
Some people can seem very nice and helpful and stab you in the back for 2.6B a few minutes later.
