Wondering what would be the best path to follow as new player?
Skilling or combat? Forgot to mention that I will be on free worlds at start until I will get more knowledge about game itself. Also should I do quests too? I've seen some are giving decent rewards but some have some requirements as well. Well I hope to have a good time around and enjoy the game as much as I can.

Check out the osrs quests guide. All quests in order. And yes, some initial quests have great rewards that will save you a lot of time.

Quests and whatever you find enjoyable! Make an ironman imo best way to learn everything. As you gotta do everything lol. Cant just buy it off ge that's boring. And everything you do and earn feels like goals achieved

Got range up to 30, have maple short bow and 5k mithril arrows.
Think I need to get my strength up and maybe attack and defense also.
But first will focus on getting 30-40 strength.

I am right there now, got mithril gear and scimitar but I have to pay attention as they hit quite hard.
I've started as normal character as I barely have any kind of knowledge to be honest. Want to get 40 strength, attack and defense. Then raise range to 40 and magic to 55 (not sure but think have all teleports unlocked at that level).

can pick up bones & other drops drom hill giants & sell them on grand exchange & buy better food (bass / lobster probably)
also if not too much effort, buring bones is smart idea too for prayer exp

Yeah I burry bones for prayer exp, my combat might be a bit too low for hill giants, sometimes I hit plenty of 0's...
