Ok, so I have heard one can get a little paranoid by reading his work... Has anyone here read his work, and what do you think is the proper age to start reading it? Does he talk mainly bullshit or?

ive never read any of his works

just start reading some of it, and if its too much for you, put it on a bookshelf and save it for later

whenever you feel mature enough to do so , his work is very compelling and can and is likely to change your mindset

You have to read philosophy with an open mind. You should be able to relate to almost everything that he says, and understand where he gets the ideas from, even if you don't agree with it. It's also best to read other philosophers because they really do have a lot of views over the same stuff that all make a lot of sense, so you don't just get convinced by one man. Jean-Paul Sartre is my favorite philosopher =-x

A good book to read before reading nietzsche work is > " When Nietzsche cried"

Good book, where u can understand mainly all ideas from his mind and then, understand better all his work.

thanks for all replies smile.gif
@lifesong, it's not about understanding or not, it's about how mature one is, so that as stated above you can read it with an open mind.. smile.gif
