when i was in 6th grade i checked out hp 1-4 and read them all in 2 days then i read the next ones that come out in a day maybe 2
but i read on average of 3-5 books a week/// unless there western short stories then i can read 2-3 a day and by short story i mean 2xx-4xx pages

books with 1k+ pages take me a day maybe 2 i read the hole sword of truth series in 4 days think there was 10 out when i read them

other good stories
the dark sun series
makers of the universe
riverworld(hard to get into but great read)
dayworld
dragon stone series
drizzt do-ur den series
a (song or tale cant remeber) of ice and fire
anuther good one i cant remeber but i know name of first book in series (A/the) prince of dogs

all i can think of off hand

I find it a little hard to believe that you could read the Sword of Truth series in that period of time, maybe if you're reading 18 hours a day you can read one a day, but nomore than that. Unless, that is, you're just skipping lines...

The SoT is OK, just after books 3 the series just starts getting a little tedious and the morality is just annoying.

try the dark tower series, by stephen king

book one is called the gunslinger i think, first book is short (so not too heavy of a read to sorta feel it out and see if you like it)

then each of the following 6 books is larger than the last, i was hooked, great series, wish it wouldve gone on longer

its kinda sad, alot of the main characters die throughout, but the ending is a huge twist (guess thats what king is good at)

which shannara series are you talking about?

sword/elfstones/wishsong trilogy?
voyage of jerle shannara trilogy?
heritage of shannara?

read the word and the void trilogy by terry brooks...

also read.... The Darksword Trilogy, by margaret weis and tracy hickman..

also.... read the series " A song of Fire and Ice " by george r r martin.
