Seems a bit uninspired to me.

At first I thought, wow that was dull and flat.

But I read it one or two more times, and I think it's nice. A bit sad for the guy/girl. In my mind I see two people secretly loving eachother, but in the end neither have the guts to do more than wish, and they don't express their own feelings.. That way they don't know that they just missed their love of their life--
Probably though, you thought about this guy/girl who loves somebody who doesn't love him/her back, right? Maybe even you show a part of yourself here? What to write, if not who we are?

And yeah, I could read as much into something written by a seven-year old, I'm sure
