My cousin recently bought the book A child called "it" and The Lost Boy. I was doing laundry last night and I ended up somehow reading A child called "it", and it was very good. It's about a boy who has a normal life, until his mother get's sick. She stops the typical 60's brady bunch housewife routine, and instead turns into a "mommy dearest". She singles out one of her children, named David, who just so happens to be the author of this book. She beats him, starves him, emotionally and physically humiliates him. She fed him ammonia, she mixed clorox and ammonia together and put him in a closed room with a bucket full of that chemical mixture.

She just wasn't a very nice mom.

Anyways, this is a true story, so I suggest you guys read it. I had no idea child abuse cases could be this bad. I thought I had it bad with me and my mom fighting, but this guy just had it horrible. I definitely couldn't have done what he did.

I suggest you guys read A Child Called "It", and The Lost Boy. It would definitely show you what really happens to children that are beaten, and then put into foster care.
