I am an avid reader, but my books-to-read list seems to be expanding much faster than I can check them off.

Anyway, I will probably be starting the King in Yellow this coming weekend, and I was just wondering if I could hear some opinions from people about it.

I'd never heard of the book until my batshit-crazy ex girlfriend recommended it to me. The books she recommends are always either mind-blowing and awesome, or complete garbage. I don't know what to expect from this.

The book is a good read overall if you're into that sort of stuff, very fantasy.

If you heard of the references from 'True Detective', the book itself is pretty different, but obviously some things have been adapted.
