As I stated in the topic, possible spoilers may arise. Don't bother reading past this if you don't wanna know shit that happens in the books.

WALL OF TEXT IS SUPPER EFFECTIVE! ITS A CRITICAL HIT!

I was just thinking to myself (on my 3rd re-read of The Wise Man's Fear) that Skarpi is possibly an Amyr...Or atleast something along those lines.

Let me just point out that the Amyr were supposed to be able to "see into the hearts of men", and to be able to tell all they have done wrong...

He's described as "a thin and weathered man with thick white hair on his arms, face, and head. He has a deep, dark tan and is very old when compared to the fifteen-year-old Kvothe. He is said to have eyes like diamonds and the body of a driftwood scarecrow."

When Kvothe and Skarpi talk alone, Kvothe states "His bright eyes looked deep into me, as if I were a book he could read". He then proceeds to mention that Skarpi said something his father used to say all the time, about truth in stories.

Later, Skarpi is arrested and he talks to the priest (Erlus) as if he knows him or knows ABOUT him. He makes comments about Erlus bedding prostitutes, about actually hunting down Haliax (and the Seven) and how everyone hates him including Tehlu. The final statement he makes to Erlus is "God have mercy on my soul, you don't know how funny that is coming from you".

Now which of the Amyr do I think he is? Honestly? Not sure, if I HAD to make a guess though, he would be Lecelte. I think that simply for the fact that he was described as one who "Laughed easily and often, even when there was woe thick about him".

I'm interested in other people's ideas on anything Kingkiller plot twist related, so feel free to post up about my thoughts or your own.

Wanted to post this while its fresh in my mind.. There's a point after Kvothe and party deal with the bandits in the Eld, that they meet some performers on the road.

The boy sings a song he's heard about the Lackless family, and I'll post my thought about each line next to them.

Seven things stand before
The entrance to the Lackless door
One of them a ring unworn A ring unworn could be pertaining to the rings namers have to show mastery.
One a word that is forsworn My immediate thought was something to do with Lanre, the Chandrian or Haliax.
One a time that must be right Felurian stresses about a night without a moon. This might be the time?
One a candle without a light Think about the pot Nina saw. The candle was bathed in flame from Haliax.
One a son who brings the blood Kvothe. His mother is most likely the run-away Netalia Lackless(if you believe that rumor which I do), and the door is on the Lackless grounds.
One a door that holds the flood Possibly talking about the door Kvothe mentions in our minds that helps us to forget memories. Memories being the flood held back of course.
One a thing tight-held in keeping A secret. Possibly the fact that Kvothe is actually a Lackless?
Then comes that which comes with sleeping

master lorren is an amyr.

skarpi looks deep and names kvothe, without being told the name beforehand. this was the first time he was "Named" since the chandrian "put him to sleep" as haliax tells cinder to do.

his mind was thus awoken, and immediately regains focus and goes to the university
