Eragon!

Codex Alera was really enjoyable, I know a few others in here liked it as well.

Gates of Rome - A historical fiction about Julius Caesar, I read because Codex Alera got me in a Roman mood. It was really good anyway.

Ranger's Apprentice - Kind of a very YA series, like Percy Jackson, but still very good. I liked it a lot better than Percy Jackson.

I haven't really read anything recently that I really liked, except for Gates of Rome which I finished like 2 months ago.... And Codex Alera immediately before that =/

/e Have you tried Lies of Locke Lamora? I've only heard good things about it.

The Name of the Wind - Patrick Rothfuss
Mistborn series - Brandon Sanderson (Also by him is The Way of Kings. It's the first book, and the only one out at the moment, in a new epic series. Fantastic so far. And the 2nd book is coming out in March)
Then, of course, Malazan Book of the Fallen - Steven Erikson. Only read the first so far, then had to take some time off of reading for school, but so far, it's great.

Read kingkiller chronicles
I've read way of the kings, cant bring myself to read mistborn since main character is a girl its hard for me to feel engaged with female leads.
