i live in a pretty busy college town and most the "used" book stores charge right near publisher price..
is there any sites that you guys have used that have a respectable price, respectable quality, and a decent shipping?
ive looked around amazon, bay (e), and gohastings, but im not exactly sure which to use, or if theres another site i should look at
thankyou

If you want cheap used books (like $1-2), you have to find one of the little privately owned shops.
You could also try going to yard sales, or flea markets I guess.
Also, try watching local libraries. Around here, they have book sales a few times a month. Most of the books are $.25 if paperback and $.50 if hardback (more expensive if newer or in high demand, I guess).

If you're ISO rare/valuable stuff at a reasonable price, King Books in Detroit is the place to go.

Either ***, Goodwill, or Salvation Army sometimes has a big selection.

If you're in a city, goodwill is a great place and will have tons of books. The only issue is hunting for books within piles of 100's of them.

During my time in college i probably spent near 10-20$ for over 40 books at goodwill/salvation army.
