I read the Percy Jackson series a while ago and liked it.
I tried the first books when he started the two new series about Egyptian and Roman Mythologies, but it felt too childish to me =/
I might go back and try reading them again eventually.

I haven't read the Egyptian ones but the roman ones get better over time because they grow up.

Finally finished this book. Such a great book. Now if I can just hold off another year of waiting for the next book.

i read the first book of this series, and half of the second book. i can't stand the new characters, i stopped reading them >< also i feel as if these books go WAYYY slower than the percy jackson series. just couldn't keep me reading long enough to finish before i'd get bored

They are slow. :/ The third book Mark of Athena isn't slow though. It's probably my favorite book Rick Riordan has done. My favorite book is the 5th book in the Percy Jackson series. House of hades, book 4 of heroes of Olympus is tied for my second favorite. The stories aren't what you normally get from Rick Riordan and he digs deeper thru Greek mythology and has darker monsters and Gods. It's worth the time to read.

Read them all. Currently like 97% done with this one as well.
