Do you have any good suggestions from around this time period?

Dumas
Verne
Hugo,

are some of the more famous ones and I am looking for books of similar styles.

Thanks :)

You ever read Joseph Conrad?
I really enjoyed the Heart of Darkness and a couple short stories of his.

Anything by H.G. Wells?
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Mark Twain
Charles Dickens

I've read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and I hear about Mark Twain and Charles Dickens alot.
So I guess it's about time I read them :)

Thanks

Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849)

The complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe is a great book which includes pretty much all of his works.

Hope this helps :)
