I've been reading through the WoT series by Robert Jordan (And Sanderson I believe?) and I have enjoyed all the books pretty thoroughly.

The one thing that irks me about this series (And every series that does it tbh) is that it branches out far too much, and far too often, to other characters. I don't mind reading 3 or 4 different characters lives throughout a book, but I'll be damned if I haven't read atleast 8 different people's perspective in each book, minimum. If it was centered around the main 3 guys, I'd be content. Adding in their female counterparts? Fuck it no big deal I can handle it. But adding in EVERY other major person they've met throughout the series? Jesus christ.

My gears are done grinding. Ty.

I wouldn't say the plot line is complex. He does have a point though.

Niaeve, Egwene, Elayne, Aviendha, Min, Cadsuane, Siuane, Talmanes, Rand, Matt, Perrin, Asmodeon, Demandred, Moradin, Loial, Serene, and more. The series does give you a lot of perspectives, but when each book is about 900-1200 pages long the least you can expect is attention to detail and perspective.

And yes, the last 3 books were written by brandon sanderson following jordan's notes.

yeah, when you get into the high grade of reading some of the authors like that kind of thing.
They think it isn't enough to have one persons, or even just a select few, view points thoughts or ideals upon their story.

I've read a book recently that has.... 6 or 7 people it follows. It was a 1000 page book which lasted a few days so it was nice but i think it was like that so the author could show every level of the hierarchy on both the good and bad sides of the conflict.

This sort of thing generally happens when they want to portray a whole different kind of world, physically and metaphysically. When they provide all those viewpoints we understand what both genders think, along with such things as traders, fighters, scholars, and leaders.

that way we can logically view that world as if it was our own and get the full story they are portraying! Well at least that is what I just came up with right now as for the reason.... I'm writing my own story atm and am thinking about follow 2-3 characters myself.

There's a difference between "No being able to handle it" and just being annoyed. When you jump to a conclusion, it makes you look like a big derp.

The sarcasm, it hurts.

Bolded names I could handle reading different passages of throughout each book. They are all part of the "core" group (aside from Cadsuane, who just grew on me quickly). The underlined ones, I could even take a passage here and there from and be content, but when you say "and more" there's still like literally 10-15 more people, lol.
