I have a big stash of old stuff I will probably slowly post. I have had 3 of my works published through contests that have gotten me scholarships: one memoir, one poem, and a short story. I will also add poems that I write, whenever I feel comfortable enough to share them

Poem one: Mystery

Alone, it is a masterpiece,
and it recreates its status.
Forgotten practicality,
Leaves it just a decoration.

The black and whites came together,
long before it was accepted.
A hammer swings whenever called.
To fall upon the destined string.

I wasn't into them much either until a teacher changed my mind about them.

A poem about a death and todays technology.

Turn off the ringers of the micro-computers.
Shut down the engines, of the cars of the future.
The tempo of time stops, no heart can make beat.
As the last bed is made for the eternal sleep.

This isn't a fake show, that DVR recorded.
Or some false propaganda that a news cast reported.
This is a murder, and time did the kill.
So update your status to attending a funeral.

It is said that without a heart, a human will die.
But she took my heart with her, so it proves that a lie.
She forged my morals, and gave me inspiration.
So she lives on in the future, for it is my creation.

If you don't understand it > nod your head and look like you did.

This.

Night

Light slowly vanishes, bringing forth a new world,
As beauty leaks over the horizon.
The curtains open, night takes the stage.
For the day was just the opening act.

Utopian peace floods all surroundings,
The crickets are all you hear.
They slowly guide you, to your room,
where your eyes get weighted from the day.

The bed calls out, begging to be used.
Fall into the gentle cloud.
Flip the pillow to the cool side.
Let Nimbus take you to your dreams.
