The Two Towers! (second one)

I absolutely love how the Ents just gather all those trees at Helm's Deep and bash all the orcs :>

Honestly, I'd have to say either the first one or the second one.
They both have great parts, first one is as you know, the fellowship.
Second part though, the Ents finally woke up and the battle(s).

Pretty awesome, but I wish there was more lore on stuff like Ancalagon/Moria.

Read the Silmarillion if you want more lore. It's basically A People's History of Middle-Earth.

I might try it out -- I never knew it was actually related to Lord of the Rings, thought it was something entirely different.

Truthfully, the "correct" way to read Tolkien's fantasy is The Silmarillion - The Hobbit - LoTR (and then there's Children of Hurin, The Unfinished Tales, History of M-E..), because it develops chronologically (kind of). Doesn't matter though really.

The Silmarillion is basically a bible. Starts with the beginning of the world, and develops through the ages of Arda. Well worth the read. I've read it 4 times, and every time I pick it up I realize/learn something new, something I missed the last time I read it.

Oh yeah, I read The Hobbit.

I feel like that version's somewhat better when they first set out on the adventure, rather than the one in the Fellowship.
