I did not enjoy it. Marquez feigns weirdness, offering up "densely layered prose" which in actuality are about as dense as a down comforter.

I recommend this novel to people who are looking to graduate from Target checkout line paperbacks. It is a solid transitional work for those who wish to ease into more challenging literary endeavors.
