I've only completely read one book in my life and that was The Brave new world. With that, it started my fascination with books. I want to keep it so I'm looking for recommendations.
Preferably looking for intellectual reads with Adult/Young Adult Themes.(Violence, Sex, Psychology, Action)

The Jungle- Upton Sinclair. Non-fiction. Super depressing and bleak. Good read for sure, but dang it's a soul crusher.

Lord of the Flies- William Golding. Kids marooned on an island forming their own societal structure. Kind of interesting. Not that great, imo, but a quick and engaging read.

well, you started with maybe one of the toughest reads there are really, and yet the book is pristine.

1984 ofc.

And if you haven't read Animal Farm yet, you're missing this world and the next. :)

The Giver - Louis Lowry

Read it ages ago. Perhaps in middle school. Interesting, easy read.

Clockwork Orange - Anthony Burgess

Absolutely enthralling novel, unfortunately overshadowed by the movie (good movie, much much better book). Challenging read, but rewarding.
