This, it's freaking awesome.
It's like Percy Jackson in the sense that it's intended for younger audiences. However, much better imo.
I can't read the Percy Jackson books anymore =/ but I am going through the Ranger's Apprentice series again.

Have you read the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini? (Eragon)

The Heir Trilogy by Cinda Williams Chima (I think?) First book is the Warrior Heir.

I haven't read much fantasy (fun) books in a while, so all that I can suggest are for teens or younger. They're all still really good though. I've read each series listed at least twice xD
