Do it. U have high standards for a book series these days. And these books went beyond my expectations. They are real. And more adult oriented. No childish notions in this series. Its actually the result of a bet the author took that he couldn't write a book based on two dead end points. The Roman legion. And pokemon. Lol he somehow took both and made them work. Check it out

I got the audio book but it was terrible quality and I didn't really like the person reading it.
Might try actually reading it sometime, but I've got a lot of stuff to read before I add new stuff to my list =/

Ya that's one thing i love about the series. All the books are long. There's speculation he may continue it at some point. Write a sequel which i would love. But right now he's continuing another series he's famous for. The Dresden Files. Which is a series about a wizard who runs a PI service. Im considering reading it since codex was so good.

Yeah, I've heard of the Dresden Files.

I'm interested though, how does he incorporate Pokemon into this series?

well ofcourse he has to do it subtly. he uses harnessing the elements as a type of magic, that takes forms in creatures called "furies" as in fury. everyone has them, is born with them, discovers them, or can obtain more in the wild.
the main character "Tavi" is furyless, which makes him unique. he doesnt focus completley on furies, there are alot of other aspects of the story. thats just how he incorporates pokemon into it. they have a major role, as do the roman legions. but its not like watching an episode of pokemon, where thats all its about lol ya know
