Hey, I've read a few short stories out of assorted collections, some by Lovecraft, some by others. I want to read all of them (or at least the most important to the mythos), and I was wondering if there was a a collected works somewhere that included not only Lovecraft's stories, but also some of the more important stories by other authors.

If you know of anything like this, could you let me know?

I'm also thinking that a lot of the stories might be online somewhere, but not entirely sure.

Anyway, thanks!

no, the necronomicon is nothing to do with lovecraft, its based on the sumerian religion, which is what Alestor Crowley practiced, a form of black magic if you will. lovecrafts Chuthulu mythos is based on the necronomicon which is pretty much the godfather of spellbooks

That Necronomicon was written in the 1970's, quite some time after Lovecraft. But apparently Lovecraft did create the name "Necronomicon."

/e But I still might look into it.
