Start time: 10:00 pm (I think it's good to free-write anything. Poems for 30 minutes. Personally I love writing and it makes me happy!)

#1 The black sheets
The black square consumes me at night.
I beg the squares to shine peaks of light.
Yet, the volume stays within, weary, so tight.
Relax, focus, and dive.
Am I alive?
What are they trying to tell me?
I think they want me to be free.
Why won't they just talk to me?
What irony.
So again I lay, restless and lost.
The black sheet perfect and soft.
My mind indulging in thousands of voices,
Listening for freedom, peeking at choices.

#2 The frog that leaped
A lovely green frog suddenly stops leaping.
No longer able to venture.
His tongue is no longer flopping.
The clean crisp air is beginning to fade.
A mirage of flies engulfs him in trade.
His life begins to slow,
His eyes begin to grow.
He sees himself leaping,
Hurrah! Hurray!

#3 The old numbers
An old fragile woman tested her luck,
For thirty years; she spent nearly every buck.
Obsessed with the numbers; she was stuck.
What motivated her dreams?
The fame.
The beauty.
The riches.
Well the final day arrived,
She switched it on, one last try.
The talking box spoke, and now it cried;
Her worries dramatically collapsed.
Her numbers became a reality,
She did it, she really won.
