There exists within any rational being an intuitive sense of uncertainty with regards to the fate of the printed page. Only the most philosophically incurious could possibly embrace the wholesale digitization of print media without reserve for the implications with regards to creativity are dire. Digitization lends itself to brevity and stifles the potentials of written language to skirt subjects in manners artful. Another consequence of this linguistic homogenization would manifest itself would be the inexorable intellectual reduction because language and words are fundamental pillars of human intelligence, and as such are obviously far too precious to fall victim to the desire of high tech companies to sell high tech devices.
