I personally thought the entire series should have ended after they defeated Itexicon Corporation.

The Flock was back together, they were all happy, the Threat of Itex blowing up the world was gone.

So why didn't it? Instead, They gave us an ending, then they sent the Flock into a pointless future. Of Studying Penguins and getting stuck in a hurricane.. That made no sense to me. But again.. Disaster averted because no sale of Flock. Mission complete? wrong. Then Max's mom gets kidnapped.. And the world is threatened again by a mad scientist.. Can we get a new evil guy yet? Well.. They defeat him too.. Then they go to Africa and run into a psychotic scientist. AGAIN! Then they defeat him. Doomsday soldiers. Defeated again. How many times have they saved the world now..? Are they done..? Oh, nope. Sorry. A group something like Itex(Or was it actually Itex just underground now..? I never caught that part) and they release a toxin that will kill everyone on earth. OMG!! Plot twist, they failed their mission!! Virus wins. they go into secluded island. 5 minutes later, world goes boom. They dead yet? nope. Wave crashed on them.. Dead now..? no, sorry.. They lived through a meteor EXPLODING feet from them. Makes sense, right?

Did anyone else think that this was way too many circles? Angel got caught and tested on twice in this series. Fang was thought to have died four times(At least, might be more i forgot) when flying Erasers first came. Ari nearly killed fang. Then Dr. Whackjob kills him during a test, and Max brings him back with Adrenaline. He gonna stay alive now? Nope, sorry. He gets thrown off a cliff, and dies. then later says his body recovered from death on its own. then is supposed to be dead two or three times in the last 20 - 30 pages of the book. Oh. My. God. What the hell is up with him? How many times you gotta die before you just give the hell up?

Okay, okay. That's a pointless rant on those two.

My main problem is with their characters.

Max:
Started out bad ass Chick who kicked major ass. Killed her brother for gods sake!(even though it was an accident) Defeats the "perfect weapon" Itex created, Omega. Oh and she is the only one with semi-sane Parents.. that they know of. Only her and Iggy knew their parents, though Iggy doubts it was truly them overall. She gets way too emo way too often after Itex falls. Her and fang make out constantly. She talks about her feelings and cries a lot. Moves on to Dylan(Who isn't even 1 years old...) Complains constantly to Dylan about Fang leaving. Gives up on Fang. fang comes back. More emotional crap than anything. SINCE WHEN DID MAX EVER SHOW HER EMOTIONS BESIDES ANGER AND HAPPINESS?!?! Ruined her character.

Iggy:
Bad ass BLIND bombmaker who can cook. I don;t know about you, but when i found out a bomb maker who was blind was the cook.. i would feel unsafe eating anything in case it blew up. lol. But he was one of my favorite characters cause he just had no cares for the most part. And he never acted emotional except during the obvious times where he couldn't not be. He's probably the only character who stayed the same the whole way through. Even though he basically disappeared in importance the last few books.

Gasman:
Fire in the hole! He started being proud of his gas attacks. he's a bomb maker as well. One of my favorite characters til later on, when he started getting shier about his "Gas attacks". Never got too emotional, but was more related to the story for a while, but then because a pointless character.

Angel:
All i have to say is: Psychotic evil backstabbing know it all 6(or 7) year old child. Didn't like her at all after they broke out of the School.

Fang:
Started as a quiet "cool" kid who just sat back and followed. Turned into an overtalkative control freak who because over jealous and left the flock. three times. Twice in one day once! Yeah. So much for keeping your emotions in control, Fang.

Nudge:
Typical teenage girls.. Who can you know.. Fly. cares more about fitting in than living. Sounds like a normal teenage girl, right? Never felt she had any importance besides some filler crap throughout the story. What exactly did she do, besides hack computers and ditch the flock to go to school?

Total:
An extremely annoying flying talking dog that married a normal dog.. That sums it up.

Dylan:
What did he do really? besides warn people there's a meteor coming at the end, trying to get Max in bed, and killing Ari.. for like the fourth time in the series.. Nothing special there. Oh, and he went on a jealous rampage when Fang returned to the flock.




Yeah, their characters were pointless in every way after the fourth book. Angel, Max, Fang and Dylan were all that were really talked about or that talk after the fourth book. Why make 8 characters when you only talk about 4?



Something never explained through the whole series. Why were their abilities ever used? Nudge's computer hacker ability is the only thing that ever had any use. Oh, Fang becomes invisible? He tried to be invisible anyways. Iggy can feel colors. And can see in a white out. What use was that? nudge attracts metal.. And got herself almost electrocuted opening a door that way. Angel is a prophet. She sees the future, reads minds, controls fish.. Yeah, crazy 7 year old. Gasman puts his name to use and has extreme toxicity. And can mimic people perfectly.. No uses their either.. Max has super speed, which never helped with anything except to get away from her flock. can make herself "die". and has Angel in her head giving her instructions. Makes sense to me. Was any of this ever helpful? Seeing as Angel told the Flock what to do by using Max.


Also: It was never explained why Jeb could do the voice. was he a mind reader as well..? oh well.

Only thing i understand from all this, is that 4 guys for 3 girl Avion humans and 1 human mixed in. Oh wow.. 4 adams, and 4 eves.. Plus whoever else survived in the caves.. Max's mom and rich dude survived as well as ella.. So human race is still fine.. right? Okay.. I say: Max and Fang stay together. Angel gets with Dylan. Gazzy goes for Nudge. Iggy goes for Ella(obviously). That's how i would put them together. I was going to put Angel with Gazzy, then i remembered they were related, so that changed quickly. But yeah.. This would never be confirmed since series ended badly. Oh well. I still look at is as the story ended as soon as Max and Fang got together the first time in the series. After that, it was pointless details that did nothing but prove the flock wasn't worthy.

All in all, yes. I felt like ranting about the way the series ended. it was stupid.
