Which book by him should I start reading? I've heard many good reviews about him, yet I don't know which to pick first

Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of The World

Deeeeefinitely the wrong book to start with. Gotta ease into it, something like Kafka on the Shore would be a good choice.

my fav two books from him: sputnik sweetheart & norwegian wood.

they're the most non-surrealistic, but the most humane in my opinion.
