Reading winter's heart right now, couldn't find a recent thread to discuss these books. What do you all think?

I was thinking about reading either this series, or The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. Anyone have an opinion on which is "better"?
I'll definitely end up reading both, but what do you think I should start now?

i have read reviews, and have consistently found that everything goodkind writes is absolute garbage. i dont know this from experience, however. http://bestfantasybooks.com/ <-this website is cool, i know its just one guy's opinions, but he gives good info on a TON of books

I'm on Lord of Chaos (b6) right now. I really enjoy the series thusfar. I hear it gets a tad redundant in book 10.

i read all of the Sword of Truth series. I couldnt get past the 6th Wheel of Time book. May try again though, the first book of Wheel of Time was incredible.

I started these when I was like 9-10 bc my older brother recommended them. I loved them but I remember the amount of detail being described was sometimes too much. I also quit halfway through because he hadn't written anymore books. But I'll definitely pick them up one of these days. Favorite fantasy series atm is the Shannara series and A Song Of Ice and Fire.

Book 6 was the only time during the series that I had to force myself to read it, book 6 seemed to just drag with nothing interesting happening.
