Just started reading the first one and Lilith is in it so I wanted to know if Lilith and Andariel are the same or is Andariel the daughter?

If anyone knows a link to all the Prime Evils and their descendants, that'd be helpful too since I was reading of Lucion being Mephisto's son.

are the diablo books worth a read?
which is the first one I should read.

Are there books that further explain diablo 1 + 2 storyline in greater depth? (not just before/after)

Thanks for that!

As for the other people, to my knowledge there are only 7 total "Diablo" books from Richard Knaak divided into 2 parts. The first part has 4 books all totally unrelated to each other and they're not bad, they make for a nice storyline connection to a videogame that we're all probably very familiar with. I've only finished the first book of the second part with 3 books, the Sin War trilogy, which are all related and thus far, they've proven to be a fair bit better than the 4 older books.

On a side note, Knaak also writes far more Warcraft books of which I've only read one book long ago and that was a decent read as well. Don't expect any of his books to absolutely capture you though, they're not good enough to give you varying emotions to events within the book.

The Sin War trilogy was far and away the best. Lots of backstory for the actual games. The rest are stand alone novels that aren't really tied to the universe at all, they just take place in Sanctuary. I enjoyed them, but the Sin War trilogy are the only ones I would recommend.
