Has any one read Crime and Punishment ? The most intense part of the book is when Raskolnikov kills the old pawnbroker lady. Everything that lead up to this and his progressively deteriorating psyche, the actual murder and how he did it knowing why people get caught and the mistakes they make where he then falls right into the same traps after some unforeseen and unexpected events take place and then the mental aftermath the followed. Stephen King could not and will never get this close to the insane and shocking horror that Dostoevsky put into words with such power and intelligence.
What do you think about the book ?
