peter prett the painted man books
and ofc
patrick rothfuss - King killer chronicles (Name of the Wind)

my latest and best fantasy in a while.

Also read harry potter or twilight. I know the movies suck and the press and all that, but the books are actually good.

the twilight books would have been better if they actually expanded on ANY of the interesting characters aside from angsty teenage girl and angsty vampire boy and angsty wolf boy. the angsty-ness of them kinda killed it for me, yet i wanted to get to the backstories on most of the rest of the native american tribe, and the other cullen family members, hell even the bamf's in europe with the nifty powers would have been great.

if you havent read any of them yet, i definitely recommend the sword of truth series from terry goodkind. outstanding books, and theres quite a few so you'll have material for a while :)

Inheritance series is garbage don't waste your time.

Mistborn series by Sanderson is an amazing piece of literature. Very original and well thought out.

Dune and Ender's Game are two that you should certainly read.

R.A. Salvatore, Drizzt series are amazing, though I'm not so sure about the latest 3-4 books, seems rather dull, as though he lost his love for the characters.

Sword of Truth series is also good

Wheel of Time is pretty solid even though Jordan's characters take 3 pages to finish eating breakfast. The man is very detailed oriented which can be a good and bad thing. It's well worth the time though.
