Basically I read it quite some time ago, about three or four years ago.

What I remember is that there was a kid I can't remember if the character was a boy or girl but I believe it was a girl.

Her father was some sort of wealthy business man and I remember something about skull phones... basically phones embedded in the skull.

The main character end up on some ship in space and it gets boarded I think?

sorta vague but I hope someone can remember, it's been bothering me lol. Also I think it may have been part of a Starcraft series. Maybe.
