First Book: The Fellowship of The Ring smile.gif
Second Book: The Two Towers smile.gif
Third Book: The Return of The King smile.gif
Fourth Book: The Hobbit smile.gif

Get these Books now together if you don't have em` and if you are interested in stuff like this. You will be thrilled and fillled with Joy on these books! smile.gif

actually, the Hobbit should be before the Lotr series i think happy.gif
and yeah, theyre pretty awesome.

ps: first read the books, then watch the movie. The movies lack so much.

Great books all of them, first you should read The Hobbit, since the story happens before the events in Lord of the Rings series smile.gif

Yup that is true Read " The Hobbit " first smile.gif and I wonder why they didnt make The first movie " The Hobbit " hmmm would of brought more $$$ to them and it would of sell'd like crazy. smile.gif

Obviously if you knew anything you would not have put the Hobbit as the 4th book

There is also the Silmarillion that comes way before the Hobbit or LOTR. A much more advanced book then any of the LOTR or Hobbit.

Actually you should read SILMARILLION before any of those because its the beggining of all..

Shame you dont know which comes before which, did you read return of king first? Because Two Towers comes before that =/

There are much better (in my opinion anyway) series out there that i'd much rather suggest than LOTR. Stuff like the Malazan Book of the Fallen, The Lies of Locke Lamora, Song of Ice and Fire, Wheel of Time, Sword of Truth etc. The story in LOTR is really quite generic and boring IMO.

Heres what I done. I watch'd every single movie that came out each year. Also, I read every single book in a row. The Hobbit--Return of The King.
