Anyone read this series? I never really was into fantasy novels (I read mostly books by Tom Clancy and such) but I heard a lot about Dune so I picked it up. I had no idea what was going on for a quarter of the book, but when things started falling into place and I discovered the glossary of terms in the back, I couldn't put it down.

I read the first 3 by Frank Herbert (Dune, Dune Messiah, Children of Dune), then read the Prelude to Dune series and Legends of Dune series written by his son, then came back and read God Emperor of Dune. Currently, I'm almost done with Heretics of Dune. The content gets kinda repetitive and the latter books have less action/more philosophy but I have to finish out the series by reading Chapterhouse: Dune dry.gif
